FROM PASSION TO CREATION
BACKGROUND
Fashion has always been a part of my life. As a young child growing up in Lebanon, I was always amused with the idea of one expressing their emotions through their wardrobe. This idea became apparent to me as I started to dig a little further into my own personal life. Over time, I realized how my upbringing shaped me into the person I ‘am today. My journey began in my home country Lebanon, a culture filled with rich history and amusing agriculture. As a teenager, I wanted to pursue a career which I believed was a path that made me realize my true passion. In university, I started learning psychology which eventually led me to finishing my studies and receiving a degree. Psychology really helped me in learning one’s emotion, behavioral patterns and human fulfilment. These concepts made me see the true beauty in providing others with products which will make them feel a boost of confidence and courage. Later on, I decided to move to Canada in 2012 with my family. Moving to Canada was a cultural shock and an eye-opener for me, nevertheless I quicky became amused in how women were dressing so confidently. After a few years went by, I started to feel like there is something missing, a part of me that hasn’t had a chance to express myself. I decided to take a breath of fresh air and begin a new path of going to fashion school, which I was totally unsure about in the beginning. I decided to register at Blance Macdonald and follow my artistic ambitions. From the first day of attending my fashion school, until now I believe that part of me which was missing has been discovered. During my time, I was truly inspired by fabric movements within each garment and how they are put together for a dress. I also started to seek inspiration from nature and people around me. I always believed when a dress is worn and the garments flow during movement, it reminds me of an ocean wave. Once I finished my studies and started to hone in on my craft, I decided to share my vison with the world. My goal is truly to provide women with items that will enable them to accept their beauty and to enhance their level of confidence in ways beyond their expectations. As I look back at my past, I realize all those hours that I spent during my time of learning psychology, made me understand my purpose of wanting to empower women and make them feel good about their personal image.
I look to share my purpose with the world.
